I have long been a “fitness guy” – lifting weights, eating well, writing a blog, training people, etc. Fitness has been transformative to my life and a primary component of my identity for years.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered another practice that turned out to be equally, if not more, transformative. The infusion of mindfulness into my day-to-day experience has had a profound impact on my life, changing the way I think about health, fitness, work, productivity, and more.
My goal with essential is to share the principles and practice of mindfulness, focusing heavily on how it intersects with other areas of life, especially (but not limited to) physical fitness and health. Conveniently, this gives me license to write about pretty much anything I want…
If that goal leads anyone (even me) to more health, happiness, or success, it will have succeeded.
